Advantages of ozone application in water treatment

Ozone in industrial water purification has many advantages. It has a very strong oxidizing power with a short reaction time. Ozone is largely effective (no matter the pH levels of the water) and has stronger germicidal properties than chlorination. The treatment process does not add chemicals to the water. Ozone can eliminate a wide variety of inorganic and organic compounds along with water color, taste and odor problems. Additionally, ozone is efficient at removing iron and manganese.
